We’re a third-generation, family-owned and-operated seafood producer located in the heart of the Texas Gulf Coast. Our mission is simple — provide exceptional quality seafood, year round, in the most responsible and humane way possible.
We believe in honesty, integrity and applying the highest standards across every level of our business. As a vertically integrated producer, we take pride in offering our customers unparalleled quality and end-to-end traceability. Our farm-raised hybrid striped bass, red drum, hybrid channel catfish and Pacific white shrimp are harvested to order, chilled on-the-spot, then packed and ready for delivery within hours to preserve maximum freshness and flavor.
Homegrown isn’t just a name. It’s a badge of honor. We raise our seafood in the same coastal communities where we raise our families. That’s why we have a deep respect for the ecosystems in our backyard and our operations minimize the impact to those environments.
Starting with just thirteen aquaculture ponds in 1989, we’ve grown over the years into America's largest farm-raised producer of hybrid striped bass, red drum, and Pacific white shrimp.

Homegrown’s inland aquaculture farms allows us to offer high quality, nutritious seafood, while supporting long-term protection of wild fish populations and minimizing impact to coastal environments.
High Standards — According to the National Aquaculture Association, more than 90% of US-consumed seafood is imported, often from countries lacking strict environmental, animal welfare, and product safety standards. By contrast, our fish and shrimp are born and raised in a safe and controlled environment where fish live a healthy and low-stress lifecycle.
Aquaculture to the rescue — With US and World populations growing, sustainable yields of wild caught fish are reaching their peak world-wide. Aquaculture-based fisheries like Homegrown help to offset the pressure on wild populations in an environmentally friendly way and serve the World’s growing appetite for high quality seafood.
